A REMODELLED SALON
I must say Annie has made a magnificent job of the remodelling. The most striking thing is the blueberry color real leather upholstery, and the alternating dark and light hard wood paneling of the bar and the cool box round the mast , both of which used to be vertical carpet. This same paneling has been continued down the stairs to the galley. Light colored new carpet, very colorful cushions and a really striking Caribbean painting, complete the makeover. The big new painting is by our favorite Caribbean artist, Kate Spencer from St Kitts, whose work we already have in the cabins.
 
 The leather upholstery is a story by itself. My family in Scotland have owned a tannery for over one hundred years. It produces high quality leather for such customers as the Houses of Parliament and Aston Martin Cars. If you step out of the tannery door, there in front of you is a little mountain called the "Misty Law". Our longtime customers will remember that that was the name of the first boat that Annie and I built in 1969, when we started out on this "three year break" (35 years and counting!), and why the other boats were called "Lammer Law" and "Cuan Law". We used 30 hides of this beautiful leather to do the job and it's great to have that connection with our first boat and our heritage every time we sit down on board!

Cuan Law Fuel Surcharges
As you may already know we set our Cuan Law prices about 16 months ahead of time. For 2007 we set them in October 2005. Our 2007 price list assumes a price of $60 per barrel of crude so, provided oil is not more than that in 2007 we will not add any surcharges in 2007. If the price goes above $60 per barrel we will have to make fuel surcharge of $15 per head for each $10 rise in price.
